The shield was gifted to him by the previous owner, his grandfather Danaos.<\/p><p>The name AVAS in greek means \u201cthe one that doesn\u2019t yield\u201d, he who always moves forward.<\/p><p>AVANTIA ASPIS was legendary in ancient Greece, as it was believed that had the magic ability to induce terror to the enemy and at the same time provide total protection to its owner.<\/p><p>King AVAS was believed to be the clansfather of the ancient Greek clan AVANTES. A clan of commandos that was distinguished for its unique endurance in battles and perceived to have been key warriors in Trojan War. Homer mentions their excellency in close combat .<\/p><p>Trying to live up, at least in some level, to Greek nation\u2019s history, we used all of our love, respect and knowledge to this project.
